Art for Auction on July 21, 2007 'Gallery of Hope & Healing' fund raising event.

Title: Moonlight (38"x48") Oil on Canvas
Artist: Regina Argentin
"What interests me are atmospheric surreal situations painted in a romantic manner located somewhere between representational and abstract. Glimpses of my authentic self are expressed through themes of lighting, landscapes or sometimes figures that reflect a dreamlike state of consciousness. I am inspired by the natural elements; their shape, radiance and the rhythm of their forms.

My travels to the east have had a profound influence on my palette which has evolved from mostly subtle muted earth tones to vivid monochromatic reds. Decay and antiquity find its way into much of my work. The paintings are to be experienced on a purely visual and sensual level as opposed to having a narrative content."

Title: Calm (18" x 14") - Acrylic on Canvas
Artist: Nympha Grubb
For me art is about bringing more love into the world, bringing love right to the surface of life. When we are in the presence of an artwork that touches us, we relax our guard for a moment and let our perception of beauty transform the moment into something magical and wonderful, almost terrifying in its power to show us the face of our own mystery. Gratitude comes to the forefront of our experience. We like ourselves just as we are. We connect with a natural personal stillness.

As an artist, my living challenge is to allow infinite creative power to flow through me unedited and undiluted, to let each painting be entirely new to me.

Beginning Bid: $250

Title: God's Gift to Humanity (24" x 24") - Acrylic on Canvas
Artist: Bonnie Landau
" I have come to discover that my inspiration for painting is the visual images that I receive from Spirit. Sometimes they are literal images of things and sometimes they are abstract designs conveying an idea. These images spark an idea for a painting, and so I put the brush to the canvas. But these images are only the spark. Once I begin painting I allow Spirit to guide my course and the end result is usually far different from the original image. The painting evolves as it comes to life, and it takes the form Spirit wants for it to be. And so I combine myself and my heart and the energy of Spirit's love as my hand moves the brush and the colors combine to tell a story."
