Art Theme: My hand & heart
Twins: Samuel & Ishmael - Age 12 Born into a family where their father was a Chief of a very large region in Ghana these twins are of noble African blood. They were abandoned because of the beleif that twins are somehow an indication of a curse. These two boys are so precious and leaders among their peers.
Art Theme: My hand
Haggar along with her younger brother, Mark, were once slave children to a Master in the Lake Volta region (northern area of Ghana). Haggar was saved by Touch A Life on December 21, 2006 and has since been living at the Village of Hope Orphanage. Haggar is a sweet, intuitive and thoughtful little girl. She can be heard singing as she is drawing.

Haagar - Age 9
Art theme: Something Beautiful
Isaac - Age 13
Art Theme: Dancing
Isaac was brought to the Village of Hope Orphanage in the Winter 2007. He is an orphan with no living moving or father and found shelter at night on church steps in the capital of Ghana, Accra. He says he's so grateful to be able to go to school, have a safe place to live and have food to eat. Isaac is an astute student and a terrific artist. His smile lights up an entire room.

Richard - Age 9
Richard is a former child slave saved by Pam Cope's Touch A Life Foundation. He was brought to the Village of Hope orphanage on December 21, 2006. In Richard's short lifetime he has seen and experienced things in which few of us could ever fathom. Richard is thriving at the Village of Hope and lives in the Prestoncrest House. While at the Children's Art Village art & music camp Richard's sweet presence was one in which all teachers valued. Here, in the drawing, is his interpretation of his life now.

Alex - Age 10
Alex is the youngest of 5 boys. He has lost both of his parents and lived in the streets with his 4 brothers before being brought to the attention of the Village of Hope director. According to Alex these were very "tough times and he prayed alot for help because there wasn't enough to eat many times." Alex's oldest brother is currently at the University of Ghana through the help of the Village of Hope. His second oldest brother, George is an aspiring basketball player. Alex is bright and energetic. You can see right away from the way his eyes shine.
